The new TESA MICRO-HITE 3D DCC is the first motorised coordinatemeasuring machine (CMM) designed within the HEXAGON’s Metrology Division and produced in Switzerland. Automation being the ideal solution for all part measurements that require high speed and high accuracy, the development of this DCC version as next logical step was to become obvious to TESA. Through a clever use of HEXAGON Group’s synergy effects, our engineers could design this new model very quickly. The machine is equipped with the enterprise-wide PCDmis metrology software from WILCOX – the reference worldwide. The centre of gravity of the patented Tricision® bridge design is significantly lowered and the skids are positioned so as to ensure a minimum deflection. This results in enhanced precision and repeatability. Since all mechanical components have the same coefficient of linear expansion, the machine is virtually insensitive to temperature variations and can equally be implemented on the shop floor or the measurement laboratory.
