Early 70's

Staff continues to grow in size, especially each summer with the addition of Kurt's two sons - Henry and Danny. They both work their summer jobs in their fathers business.

Lista becomes a permanent fixture in the trade show booths.

Kurt continues to travel to Europe, and brings many clients to Switzerland.

1970

First Machine Tool Catalog published in Black and White.

First Newsletters published "MACHINE TOOL AND INSTRUMENT NEWS"
This begins a tradition of providing their clients with technical information. Over the years, Swiss will continue to publish articles, newsletters and hold training seminars to remain current within their industry.

1971

Belmag Machinery begins distributing CAZENEUVE Precision Lathes.

Mid 70's

Dealer base continues to expand across Canada.

Machine tool product lines continue to expand with the addition of BALTEC (Riveting) and TRAUB (automatic lathes).

EDM machine sales are booming, along with the related consumables like graphite, wire and tooling.

BELMAG ATLANTIC is formed to cover the maritime markets.

1975 Lista Sales are booming with container loads of product being shipped from Switzerland, and stored at Mattawa.

Warehouse addition built on Mattawa with indoor shipping dock.

1976

Major Open House celebrating the new addition, covered by the media!

1977

1st Swisso / Belmag - Measuring Instruments & Small Tools Catalog 770 (136 pages)

Late 70's Both Belmag in Quebec and British Columbia move locations.

Belmag Machinery in Quebec changes name to Belmag Inc. partly due to French language issues!

Another addition is required at Mattawa Avenue at the rear of the building, for a board / training room.

Computers begin to appear, and programming helps the company.
